Spanish architect, graduated from the ETSAM in 1992. Director at XPIRAL Innovative answers in 1997 with headquarters in Barcelona and Murcia, he has designed more than 50 built projects, he has developed more than 300 architecture projects having more than 70 awards recognitions.Director of the Master Self-Sufficient senior professor at Iaac Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia in Barcelona. He was professor during the last 18 years, in his pedagogical practice he has worked as a university professor directing his own Units and Workshops in universities such as MIT, Iaac, UIC-Esarq, University of Alicante and University of Alcalá Henares. Recently in the IAAC is director of the Self-sufficient Buildings Master and professor of OTF, and leading the international programme TERREFORM/Iaac between New york and Barcelona. and during 12 years in the University of Alicante. He has participated in lectures and workshops as part of the V Biennial of Architecture and Design in Sao Paulo in 2003, ’7 Ideas of Beauty’ Madrid in 2005, SAW in Sofia in 2011 and MIT-IAAC workshop with Andrew Scott in 2012. His office XPIRAL Innovative answers develops proposals that explore experimental architecture alternatives, supported by new technology and multimedia resources, beyond the architecture, urbanism and design. He develops his critical practice participating in diverse conferences, round tables and exhibitions worldwide. His exhibitions such as Vlll Venice Architecture Biennale, ‘On Site’ held at MoMA in New York, where MoMa acquired his model for the permanent collection, the exhibition ‘Innovación Abierta‘ in Panama and ‘100 architects of the Year’ in Seoul in 2012. He received numerous awards such as FINALIST in Mies van der Rohe Award 2009-2013, shortlisted in the ONE PRIZE New York 2011, FIRST PRIZE Europan 6 and Europan 8, FINALIST at Premios FAD, shortlisted at AIT Awards of Public Space in 2012 and selected for his career in the Iakov Chernikhov prize.
