He is a Spanish architect and artist based in Seoul. Director of his own think/tank office -Gorka Blas firm-.He has been guest artist in several institutions and galleries around the world, his projects have been exhibited in Spain, Germany, US, Italy and Korea. Currently his part of theFablab Seoul. team, developsing his work as artist and architect expertized in Mappig development. Furthermore he is creating new networkings from this Fablab to different technological institutions. Gorka has been professor since 2008, having the chance to teach and being lecturer in several countries, such as IUAV Venice Italy in the Salvador Perez Arroyo UNIT and lecturing in Korea University and Daegu University. During his career he has received several awards, such as the First Prize of the International Competition UIA in Daegu Gosan to design and built a Public Library in Korea in 2012, currently under construction.His work was also recognized in the last edition of Europan 12 competition. Before establishing his own practice he worked for international firms, among other he worked at ZahaHadid architects.
