This Unit considers simultaneously – the city as sound and catastrophe as a silencing. As the noise floor suddenly drops, can a new soundscape emerge? Employing the soundtrack as an index for urban sonic conditions, the unit takes uncoventional and experimental films as points of departure for the sound of a post-catastrophic London.
